1. Who is responsible for your information?
The Founders’ Stack is owned and operated by Ashish Kulkarni, an individual operating from India. The Founders’ Stack and Founders’ Psyche are names used for the service; this notice does not describe an incorporated company. Ashish determines how personal information is used to operate the platform.
For privacy questions, withdrawal requests or complaints, contact ashish@founderspsyche.com. Include your account email and the request; do not send a password. This notice explains our practices. Accepting the Terms of Use or visiting a page does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.
2. The information we process and why
Some tool inputs describe your business rather than a person. They may nevertheless contain personal information about founders, employees, investors or other contacts. Please provide only information you are authorised to use and avoid unnecessary sensitive details.
- Account details: name, email, startup name and authentication information, to create your account, identify your startup and provide access. Supabase Auth manages credentials; we do not keep plaintext passwords.
- Onboarding and workspace information: stage, sector, geography, fundraising needs and workspace memberships, to personalise your experience and associate saved work with the correct account.
- Saved tool inputs and outputs: ownership and grant details, financial assumptions, uploaded decks and documents, updates, investor pipeline notes and generated results, to calculate, generate, save and retrieve the work you request. Where voice input is available, the recording is processed for transcription.
- Assessment and research information: responses, scores and profiles when you choose a founder assessment. Relevant assessment or research notices explain any additional consent and sharing choices. Financial-tool signup does not itself enrol you in a research study.
- Connected email information: authorised mailbox details, connection tokens, recipients, messages, provider identifiers and delivery/reply information needed for the mailbox features you use. The provider’s authorisation screen describes the access requested.
- Sharing information: chosen recipients, permissions, shared links and related viewing information, to deliver the sharing features you request. Recipients may have access to the material you choose to share.
- Activity and technical information: logins, pages and tools opened, navigation actions, estimated active time, request/error details and credit usage, to protect accounts, operate limits, diagnose problems and understand product use. Tool-specific events can include selected settings or result summaries; activity logs are not a general recording of every keystroke.
- Billing and support information: purchase references, plan/access status, payment confirmations and correspondence, to fulfil purchases, handle billing and answer requests. Payment credentials are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout.
- Terms and email choices: the notice accepted, its version, time and source, and your marketing choices and withdrawals, to honour those choices and maintain an acceptance record.
Free previews may save a limited scenario or search to your account so it can be restored and its allowance enforced. Signup creates an ordinary account; a useful result does not depend on choosing optional marketing emails.
3. Optional emails and contacting you
We use your account email for necessary account, security, billing and support messages. Optional guides, product updates, invitations to try or discuss the tools, and Founders’ Capital or Founders’ Psyche newsletters use the preferences you choose. Creating an account alone is not a marketing subscription.
You can withdraw optional email permission through Email preferences, the unsubscribe route provided in a marketing email, or by emailing Ashish. Withdrawing marketing permission does not cancel your account or remove your preview result. Where a newsletter is delivered through Substack, a separate subscription step may be needed; saving a preference on this platform is not confirmation that Substack enrolled you.
We do not sell personal information or use your private financial inputs or assessment scores to select marketing audiences.
4. Providers and international processing
Relevant information is sent to a provider when needed for the feature you request. Providers involved in the current platform include:
- Supabase software and Hetzner hosting: authentication, database/storage and application hosting. The platform uses self-hosted Supabase services; this is not a statement that every record is held in Supabase’s hosted cloud.
- Google Gemini, Anthropic and OpenAI: AI-assisted functions such as document analysis, research, drafting, financial-model work and transcription, depending on the selected feature. Prompts can include the text or files needed to fulfil your request. Basic deterministic previews do not need an AI provider.
- Google/Gmail, Microsoft/Outlook and Zoho: mailbox authorisation and message operations you choose to enable.
- Dropcontact: relevant contact information when you request contact enrichment.
- Razorpay and other payment providers shown at checkout: processing payments and returning purchase confirmations. We do not store full card numbers or CVVs.
- Resend: platform email delivery where that service is used.
- Google Analytics: website measurement on pages where enabled. Browser/device identifiers and cookies can be used; we do not describe all analytics as anonymous.
- Substack: newsletter subscription and delivery when you separately subscribe there or a consented subscription transfer is offered. A transfer must match the subscription purpose shown to you.
Hosting and provider processing may take place outside India, including in Europe and the United States, depending on the service. Providers have their own data-handling terms and retention practices. This notice does not promise that all information stays in India or that a provider never retains requests. Review the provider notices and the feature’s sharing controls before submitting confidential material.
5. Sharing with other people
Some features let you share a deck, investor update, cap table or other work with investors, cofounders or an incubator. Check the recipient, permission and material before sharing. An incubator or team relationship may involve shared account administration or credit information; content sharing follows the relevant feature and consent settings.
Someone with a working shared link may be able to view the material it makes available. A recipient may retain a downloaded copy or information already received even after you revoke future access. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or reasonably needed to address security incidents or establish legal rights.
6. Storage, security and browser technologies
We use account-scoped access controls, HTTPS and authentication to protect saved work. Authorised operators and service providers may access information when needed for support, security or service operation. No system is completely secure. Report suspected unauthorised access to Ashish promptly.
Browser storage is used for sessions, interface preferences and some local tool state. Analytics cookies may be used on pages with Google Analytics enabled. Browser controls and Google’s analytics opt-out tool provide additional controls. These controls are distinct from email preferences.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and saved work while needed to operate your account and the features you use. Cancelling paid access does not itself delete your account. You can request deletion of your account or specific saved information by contacting Ashish from your account email.
We aim to remove eligible information from active systems within 30 days after verifying a deletion request. Some billing, security, dispute and acceptance records may need to be retained where required by law or necessary for those purposes. Backup copies and providers may have separate retention cycles; a deletion request does not instantly remove every backup or a copy you have already shared with a recipient. We will explain material limits that apply to your request.
8. Requests, withdrawal and complaints
Contact ashish@founderspsyche.com from your account email to request access, correction, a readable export, erasure, withdrawal of consent or to raise a privacy complaint. State which information or feature your request concerns. We may need proportionate identity verification; do not send identity documents until asked through an appropriate channel.
Withdrawing permission for processing needed by a feature may prevent us from continuing that feature; we will explain the relevant consequence. Marketing withdrawal does not prevent ordinary account use. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to nominate another person or complain to a supervisory authority.
Our privacy and grievance contact is Ashish Kulkarni at the email above. We aim to acknowledge privacy requests within 14 days and resolve privacy complaints expeditiously, within one month of receipt or sooner where applicable law requires. If a complaint remains unresolved, you can pursue the channels available under applicable law, including India’s data-protection framework as the relevant provisions and complaint mechanisms become operational. Contacting us does not waive any rights you have.
9. Adults, policy changes and contact
The platform is intended for people aged 18 or older. Please contact Ashish if a child’s personal information has been submitted so it can be reviewed and handled appropriately.
We update this notice when our practices change. We will communicate material changes through the platform or appropriate account communication. A new purpose that needs consent requires an appropriate new choice; continuing to browse is not automatic consent to optional marketing or every new use of data.
